History & Philosophy
BCC was founded in June of 2004 by Principals Kathryn Orr Smith and Kelly W. Earls. Ms. Smith and Mr. Earls had previously worked together as owners at the National Institute for Community Banking, and then Clark Consulting, after its purchase of their firm. They maintain 100% ownership of BCC and are committed to maintaining financial independence.
BCC’s client philosophy focuses on the creation of long-term relationships that add significant value to clients. Whether it’s the implementation of an executive benefit program or the acquisition of COLI, BCC strives to provide the highest level of support and industry-best service throughout the life of the relationship.
Our company’s reputation depends on exceeding client expectations, and accordingly we maintain a commitment to best practices as we:
- Strive for excellence in everything that we do
- Are proactive and anticipate needs
- Concentrate on easing the burden on clients
- Never compromise our values
BCC currently employs 25 professionals, including a number of Account Managers and a growing number of Consultants. Over the past 15 years, the Principals and Consultants of the company have developed plans for, and supported numerous businesses nationwide.
